Hall Booking Administrator required for the Village Hall

The Muir of Ord Hall and Facilities Company wish to appoint a Hall Booking Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the Village Hall for the community.  The tasks will include:

  • opening and closing the Hall
  • managing bookings via the Hallmaster system
  • assisting with enquiries
  • cash handling
  • testing the fire alarm
  • picking up mail as required
  • assisting with hall promotion

It is essential that the applicant lives in close proximity to the Village Hall to be easily available to open and close the Hall in order to accommodate users and provide security.

The applicant must have access to a computer and be computer literate.  Training will be provided on the Hallmaster booking system.  A mobile phone will be provided for dealing with booking enquiries.  A good standard of literacy and numeracy is required for cash handling and recording.  The successful applicant will be required to use their own initiative and be proactive in communicating with hall users.

A flexible approach is required to cover 10 hours per week at a rate of £10 per hour.

The role will be on a contract basis for 12 months subject to review.  The applicant should be aware that this will be a self-employed position where he/she will be responsible for any HMRC obligations, i.e. tax and national insurance contributions. The company can provide assistance with setting this up.
