The Village Hall will close for refurbishment from 1 February 2018 for four months. Tender invitations will be issued in January 2018 for interested contractors to respond by the end of that month. In the meantime, we will be preparing for the Hall’s closure.
Regular Hall users have been notified and if we can’t help accommodate them at the Hub, they have been provided with contact details for other local venues – the Pavilion, the Church of Scotland and the Free Church. We are grateful to Maureen Morrison, Duncan Cromb and Gordon Martin for agreeing to help our Hall users to find alternative accommodation, where available.
A big thank you to our Hall users for their patience – the refurbishment has been long-awaited – and their support. They have contributed their ideas for the Hall, which we have incorporated, as far as possible, into the refurbishment plans.
We are grateful to our funders – SSE, Highland Council and Highland Cross – for supporting our project and helping to ensure the Hall’s future.
There will be updates in the lead up to and during the Hall’s closure. In the meantime, if you would like know more, please get in touch with me.
