The Muir In The Past – Help wanted

After the groups successful heritage display of the history of The Old Tarradale School for the opening of the Hub, the Local History and heritage group, now known as The Muir In The Past are looking for more members.

The group have worked on collating information and photographs to detail a timeline of the old School and its different uses through the ages, This was displayed in the Hub for the first few months of opening. The group has been given many items and photographs since that, that they are working on cataloguing and creating another display.

The groups next display will be about for the Muir of Ord Gala and they are looking for people to help put this display together as well as other key task such as –

Research and investigate aspects of local history

Arrange events and exhibitions

Catalogue and organise material relating to the history of Muir of Ord

The next meeting is Friday the 5th of May 2pm-4pm in The Tarradale Room in the Muir Hub

The Big Picture – 5 Years on

The Community Council would like to welcome you to the Village Hall on Saturday the 25th of June from 1pm to 5pm to find out more about how the Fairburn Wind Farm money has been spent in the community.

Also on the day the Community Council will be looking for suggestions on how the money should be spent in the future.

This is a drop in session so please come along and grab a coffee and a chat with local organisation and groups that have benefited as well as finding out whats happening in the community.
