The Community Association was founded in the 1950s to fulfil a bequest of Mary Fraser or Sinclair, who left certain land and property to the community.
The Association holds the recreation grounds, bowling green, and the Pavilion, in trust for the community and makes these available to bodies such as Muir of Ord Rovers, the Highland Skate Group and the Bowling Club. We also lease further land from Highland Council.
The Association is a Charity registered in Scotland number SC015378 and has made application to OSCR to re-organise by making its affairs over to the Hall and Facilities Company, a charity registered in Scotland and a registered Company, which already owns the Village Hall on Seaforth Road and the new hub building being created in the Old Tarradale School building in the square.
